• Certified state and federal trainer.

• Harford County resident since 1998

• Worked a number of disasters including the Baltimore City Demonstrations, Hurricanes, derecho, earthquake, and the blizzards of 2009.

• I am a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), a Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP), and a Maryland Emergency Management Professional.

• Former Planner IV for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).

• Was an emergency management and homeland security professional with over 30 years of public safety experience.

• Former state Incident Commander, Operation Section Chief and Resource Section Chief for the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC).

• Has experience in both a local and state emergency operation center.

• Former State Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) Coordinator.

• Managed both small- and large-scale disasters directing agencies on how to respond.

• Former Planner for the Harford County Department of Emergency Services

• Wrote plans on how to prepare, respond, recover and mitigate potential disasters

• Former Chair of the Harford County Citizens Corp Council, Chaplains Corp, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), and the Faith-based Disaster Coalition.

• Worked at both the local and state level on the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program.
